Former Treasury Secretary Summers Steps Down from ChatGPT Maker's Leadership
Ex-Treasury chief the Harvard professor is exiting the board at the ChatGPT creator, just days after a collection of emails between him and notorious criminal the accused trafficker became publicly available.
Summers remarked in an announcement that he was "appreciative for the privilege to have served, optimistic about the prospects of the company, and eagerly await tracking their advancement".
The former Harvard president, who formerly headed the Ivy League institution, announced on Monday that he would be stepping back from public roles due to his connections with Epstein.

The recently released messages showed that the official corresponded with the financier until the eve of Epstein's 2019 arrest for suspected trafficking of minors.
In a separate statement, the technology organization said it accepted the economist's determination to resign.
"We value his many contributions and the perspective he offered to the Board," the organization remarked.

This announcement follows after both chambers of the US legislature agreed on recently to approve a legislation that would require the Department of Justice to release its documents on the case.
The bill will afterward proceed to the desk of President Trump for approval. The President has indicated he plans to endorse the bill, after reversing his stance on the issue following pressure from his supporters.
