British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Hospital in Nigeria Following Tragic Road Accident

The British boxer Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, Nigerian authorities stated on late Wednesday. The 36-year-old was caught in a vehicular crash near Lagos on Monday, a horrific crash that claimed the lives of two of his valued colleagues.

Under Observation for Minor Injuries

The sports star had been receiving medical attention while healing from his light wounds, representatives stated earlier on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement on social media that Joshua was declared medically stable to leave and heal privately.

“Anthony and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two friends who passed away as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the commissioner stated.

A Tribute to the Fallen

The two men who died were identified as Latif Ayodele, Joshua's trainer, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. The official further stated that the champion was filled with sorrow and full of emotions over the passing of his two dear friends.”

His release from the hospital comes as the boxing community had expressed condolences for the champion in the wake of the devastating accident.
