In a surprising collaboration that breaks usual predictions, the game developer has announced an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Mission Revealed

According to the formal announcement, "A strange meeting leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where whispers of forbidden rituals and monstrous transformations resonate through the shadows." The storyline features a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a secret group.

The mission focuses on "strange experiments and a fearsome foe" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Transformations

The preview showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer finishes with a striking scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Additional Material

Players who successfully complete the mission will obtain an exclusive katana alongside multiple objects hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Newest Free Story Addition

This patch also introduces the game's newest no-cost story addition, titled "A Puzzlement."
